WANNEBO
A custom residence designed for the northern climate of Wisconsin’s Bayfield Peninsula.
The house is organized as a primary gabled volume with subordinate structures set alongside and behind it. The composition draws from New England farmhouses and Shaker buildings — simple forms, disciplined window rhythms, and restrained detailing.
A 2x6 wall system with 4 inches of continuous exterior mineral wool insulation creates a robust thermal envelope. The increased wall depth informs window returns, trim profiles, and eave proportions, grounding the architecture in its construction.
Location: Bayfield Peninsula, Wisconsin
Project Type: Custom Single-Family Residence
