INTENT
Every project begins with real constraints: climate, topography, budget, codes. Every client arrives with a dream worth shaping. My work lives in that tension — bringing the two into alignment through thoughtful design. When it’s right, a home feels settled and clear, as though it could not exist anywhere else.
Buildings should reveal how they are made. Materials that age with dignity. Details that make structural and visual sense. Spaces that feel calm and intentional — where morning light lands where it should, the mudroom works when boots are wet, and quiet corners offer room to breathe.
Craft and performance belong together. The same thinking that shapes a timber joint shapes how a wall holds warmth through a January that doesn’t quit. Materials and methods may vary; the care does not. Every detail considered. Every decision made with generations in mind.
This work is for people who care deeply about how things are made — who want a home that honors its place and value thoughtful collaboration throughout the process. If that sounds like you, I’d love to hear about your project.
