A modern home nestled in a valley in Southern Wisconsin's Driftless Region. The design merges the agrarian vernacular architecture of the region with a black modern long-shed form on its north side, creating a dynamic composition that responds to the hillside site. The home features a large entryway designed as an enclosed dogtrot—open to broad valley views on the southern face while providing protection from the Upper Midwest winters.
